Landscaping & Gardening

23 of 23 calculators are live. Everything else below is on the roadmap — check back as more launch.

Estimate mulch, soil, gravel, sod, seed, and irrigation needs for yards, gardens, and drainage projects. From a simple mulch refresh to a full landscape overhaul, these calculators turn bed dimensions and coverage depths into exact material volumes.

Quick Tips

  • Apply mulch 2–3 inches deep — too thin won't suppress weeds, too thick suffocates roots and traps moisture.
  • Test your soil pH before adding amendments; most plants thrive between 6.0 and 7.0.
  • Grade the soil away from your foundation at a minimum slope of 6 inches over the first 10 feet to prevent water intrusion.
  • Group plants with similar water needs together (hydrozoning) to reduce irrigation waste.
